I am a relentless dreamer. I hold the unreasonable belief that despite greed, capitalism can change humanity and it must if humanity is to survive. Capitalism is not evil, nor is it good. This in the end will make all the difference. This indifferent system will bend to the will of the market – to the people – and the people are waking up. I am a jaded optimist. Despite being let down by small thinking in high places I see hope. I see hope in the fear and desperation of large organizations facing change. I see hope in the vast amounts of money spent by corporations to say nothing. I see hope that eventually they will realize that no one is listening anymore and they have to have something meaningful to say. And that will force change. That change will be a sea change for society. It will change communications, ethics, product design, manufacturing, materials, economics, people and philosophy.
